Our commitment
ApplianceIQ aims to make appliance shopping guidance easier to understand and use for as many people as possible. We want search, product comparison, store-offer comparison, My Package, price alerts, and account features to be usable across devices, input methods, and accessibility needs. ApplianceIQ aims to improve alignment with WCAG 2.2 AA over time.
Accessibility practices
- Support keyboard navigation for core journeys and controls.
- Use readable labels, headings, focus states, and form instructions.
- Maintain strong color contrast for important text and actions.
- Design responsive layouts for mobile, tablet, and desktop.
- Avoid hiding key actions behind tiny tap targets.
- Use descriptive link and button text where practical.
- Preserve model numbers, prices, and measurements in readable formats, including in RTL languages.
- Continue testing with responsive layouts, keyboard flows, screen-reader-friendly labels, focus visibility, and form validation.
Ongoing improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. ApplianceIQ is still evolving, and some experiences may need additional testing, assistive technology review, mobile review, keyboard review, and remediation as the product grows.
Accessibility feedback
If you experience an accessibility barrier or have suggestions for improving ApplianceIQ, contact accessibility@applianceiq.ai or support@applianceiq.ai. Please include the page URL, device/browser, assistive technology if relevant, and a short description of the issue. We aim to review accessibility feedback in a reasonable timeframe.
