Overview
ApplianceIQ may receive compensation when users click outbound store links, compare store offers, request quotes, submit leads, view sponsored placements, or purchase through partner links. This page explains how that compensation may work.
Mechanically: outbound store links pass through our own redirect (links beginning with /go). For stores that have accepted ApplianceIQ into their affiliate program, that redirect may add an affiliate code before sending you to the store. For every other store the link is passed through unchanged. The destination store and its price are identical either way.
Types of compensation
- Affiliate commissions when users click outbound store links or make qualifying purchases.
- Lead-generation fees when users request store contact, package quotes, installation help, or similar services.
- Advertising fees for clearly labelled ad placements.
- Sponsored placement fees for clearly labelled sponsored or featured offers.
- Partner fees from stores, brands, networks, or service providers.
How compensation may affect placement
Compensation never affects organic results: affiliate status is structurally excluded from ranking, deal-truth scoring, eligibility, and best-price selection — the scoring code has no affiliate input (see how we rank). Sponsored placements, if ever shown, are labelled so users can tell when compensation may influence visibility or placement.
Compensation should not be presented as a guarantee that a product, store, or offer is the best choice for every shopper.
Sponsored labels
Sponsored placements should be labelled with clear language such as "Sponsored", "Featured Partner", or "Store Sponsored Offer". ApplianceIQ should avoid hiding compensation relationships in a way that misleads shoppers.
Final purchase is with the store
ApplianceIQ is not currently a store and does not sell appliances directly. If you buy an appliance, your purchase is with the store or third party you choose. Final pricing, availability, delivery, installation, haul-away, warranties, returns, rebates, financing, taxes, and fees are confirmed by the store.
Correction, takedown, and data concerns
If you are a store, brand, manufacturer, rights holder, affiliate network, or authorized representative and believe information on ApplianceIQ is inaccurate, outdated, unauthorized, infringing, misleading, or should be reviewed, contact legal@applianceiq.ai or data@applianceiq.ai with the relevant URL, issue description, and supporting details. ApplianceIQ may review, correct, remove, label, restrict, or update data while reviewing the request.
Safer price language
ApplianceIQ uses terms like "lowest tracked price today", "store-listed price", "30-day tracked average", "location-based estimate", and "available near you" because our data reflects the sources we track. ApplianceIQ should avoid absolute, market-wide, guaranteed, or unsupported savings or value claims unless properly verified and legally supportable.
