How to report a possible error
Email support@applianceiq.ai or use the contact page. A useful report includes:
- The ApplianceIQ page URL and the exact model number, when the report concerns a product.
- The statement, field, price observation, or calculation that may be wrong.
- A manufacturer document, retailer page, dated screenshot, or other source that supports the correction.
- Any safety, fit, installation, or identity consequence that makes the issue time-sensitive.
How reports are reviewed
We compare the report with the page, the exact product identity, stored observations, and the strongest available manufacturer or retailer evidence. A retailer listing alone may not resolve a manufacturer-specification conflict, and a different model suffix is not treated as evidence for the model on the page.
Automation may locate related records or flag inconsistencies, but a human must decide the correction outcome for editorial claims, product identity, fit, installation, safety, or source attribution.
Possible outcomes
- Correct the inaccurate text or data and update related metadata or structured data when they are affected.
- Clarify wording or attribution when the underlying fact is supportable but the page overstates what the evidence shows.
- Temporarily withhold a guide or remove a claim from search and ad eligibility while a material conflict remains unresolved.
- Leave the page unchanged when the report concerns another model, an expired offer, or evidence that does not support the requested change.
Priority and timing
Reports involving unsafe guidance, incorrect product identity, fit or installation risk, or a live unresolved editorial note receive priority. Price and availability can change quickly; a difference from a retailer's current page is first checked against the observation time before it is treated as an error.
We do not promise a fixed response time. The evidence needed and the effect of the possible error determine how much review is required.
Dates and correction records
A substantive guide correction should update the visible modified date. Routine price refreshes, inventory changes, and formatting edits do not imply that the guide's editorial conclusions were rewritten.
ApplianceIQ does not currently publish a public line-by-line correction archive. Readers can ask about the handling of a specific reported issue through the same support address.
